A look of complete cemetery and passages of holy Madina Jannat-ul-baqqi

1 . The most pious and spiritual grave yard of the world is called, "Jannat-ul-Baqqi" where a number of companions (RA), wives daughters and other family members of Prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihi wasalam are lying to rest. In the time of Prophet sallalla ho allihi wasalam live hood, this grave yard was thought to be out side the Madina city but after the vast extension, now it has now come just adjacent to Masjid-e-Nabvi

See how near it is now from Masjid-e-nabvi (S.A.W)

If you come out from Masjid-e-Nabvi, through Baqqi Gate, or Jibrael (AH) Gate you will see few yards ahead a boundary wall at a little height. This is JANNAT -UL -BAQQI'S wall. Stairs are made to reach at the height.

2 . Men can visit this grave yard going inside but ladies are allowed to go up near the wall of the graveyard. Ladies must present their Salaam outside

Baqqi is very clean and tidy grave yard. No bush and tree is there. All the graves are made of mud. No concrete constructions over the graves are made. Pavement and passages are made for easy walking but there is no sign over the graves have been given to know the name of the buried personality. Some guides (Moaleems) tell about graves. Squared boundary of half feet high has been built around all prominent graves

Masjid-e-Quba in Madina Munawarrah

The Quba' Masjid is the first mosque that was ever built in Islam. It is situated just outside Madinah, in Saudi Arabia.

The first stones were positioned by Prophet Muhammad and the masjid was completed by his companions, (radiAllahu anhum)

The masjid came to be built, after the prophet stopped over there to pray, on hijrah (migration) from the city of Makkah to Madinah.

It is this masjid that is also called "Masjid al-Taqwa" as mentioned in the Qur’an
“The Reward of a Prayer in Quba Mosque is Just Like a Reward of One Umra”.

Sacred Tomb of The Holy Prophet (pbuh)

Wednesday, April 21, 2010
1. The Holy Prophet   2. Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddique   3. Hadrat Umar Farooq

In front of the sacred tomb of The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), there are three sections of brass screens and all three have holes in them. Look at the picture carefully. If you stand in front of the middle section between the pillars, you'll see a big round hole on your left. This is in front of the face of the Holy Prophet. Adjacent to it is a door that stays closed. Right after it on the right side is a round hole which is in front of the face of Hadrat Abu Bakr Siddique. On the right of it, there is another round hole which is in front of the face of Hadrat Umar Farooq.

Here is an enlarged view of the screen in front of the sacred face of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him).

Jabal-e-Uhad - Uhad mount.

Masjid-E-Qiblateen

Qiblatain mosque (Masjid al-Qiblatain), the mosque of two qibla, so called as it is the mosque in which the qibla was changed from Jerusalem to Mecca (the ka`ba).

1 . When Prophet (S.A.W) came to madina, muslims used to pray facing their directions towards Masjid-e-Aqsa (first Qibla).

2 . Prophet (S.A.W) used to see sky and begs Almighty Allah to make "KABBA" ,the Qibla of Muslims. They repeated this prayer so many times. Once Prophet (S.A.W) was leading the ZOHAR prayer facing towards Masjid-e-Aqsa and two rakats had been finished. JIBRAEL came and delivered the message of Almighty Allah

"WE KNOW WHY YOU ARE LOOKING REPETEADLY TOWARDS SKY. BECOME HAPPY-TURN YOUR FACE TOWARDS KABBA."
After receiving this message (vahee) prophet (S.A.W) turned his direction towards Kabba, just against masjid-e-aqsa, in praying condition. Followers (muqtadees) followed prophet’s action in prayer condition without any hesitation. It would really be an exciting moment-when the direction of Qibla has been changed from Masjid-e-Aqsa (in North of madina) to entirely against direction of kabatullah (in south of Madina).

3 . Since this historical event was occurred here, so it is called the mosque of two Qiblas (Masjid-e-Qiblateen). Here, at present, two "mahrabs" (place of Imam's standing to lead a prayer),entirely on different directions can been seen. One of them represents the direction of kabatullah which is, now a days ,used by Imam whereas the other shows the direction of Masjid-e-Aqsa(First Qibla) where the event of "changing Qibla" occured. This Mahrab is now filled (covered) in this way that no one can stand under it .In many languages ,It has been written over this Mahrab, that before the order of changing Qibla, this was the direction where Muslims used to offer prayer but now this Qibla has been cancelled and the new and the last Qibla is now Kabatullah (Makkah).

4 . Pilgrims must visit this mosque .It is really a place of great Islamic historical nature, Taxis/Busses outside Masjid-e-Nabvi takes pilgrims for Ziarat in which this mosque is also shown. Upper level of this mosque is reserved for women whereas Gents are allowed in lower level.

Mihrab of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh)

This is the Mihrab of Allah's apostle may peace and blessings be upon him.

The mihrab is basically a recess in the masjid that indicate the direction of the prayer 'Qiblah' (to Makkah) .
Ofcourse it didnt look like this at the time of Prophet muhammad peace be upon him,
but this is exactly where the prophet peace be upon him
used to stand to lead the prayer with the early muslim believers. Allahu Akbar!

The Rawdha. A special holy spot (with bright carpet) at the Prophet's Mosque.

At the center is the Prophet's Mehrab (pray stand)
The Prophet's Masjid is distinguished by the Rawda as-Shareefah,
which is the area between the house of Allah's apostle al-Hujrah as-Shareefah - and the Minbar - the pulpit.
The Prophet peace be upon him said,
"Between my house and my minbar - pulpit - a Rawdah -garden- of Jannah." [Agreed upon]
